Himani Shivpuri: Madhuri Dixit got up to greet me on Hum Aapke Hain Koun sets despite being number one heroine | Hindi Movie News

Director Sooraj Barjatya’s 1994 blockbuster Hum Aapke Hain Koun still remains one of the most loved Hindi movie of all time. All the characters in the film managed to strike the right chord with the audience. One such role of Dr Razia played by veteran actress Himani Shivpuri is etched in everyone’s heart and mind.
In a new interview, Himani shared her experience of working Hum Aapke Hain Koun and recalled her beautiful memories of working alongside big stars like Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit.
Talking about her first day on the sets, Himani said that Sooraj took her to the sets and introduced her as a very experienced actor to the film’s cast. Madhuri, who was also sitting there with her staff, got up to greet her. Madhuri’s gesture was a very inspiring moment for Himani because she was the number one heroine at that time. After doing a few films with her, Himani realised that Madhuri is a beautiful person inside out.

Himani then recalled how everybody treated her nicely and did not look down on her because she was new. She said that they used to get up at 4 am in the morning and used to change at their hotels and leave.
She further said that they had to do one more change for a song and everybody used to be in the single room. Then Himani along with Bindu, Madhuri, Reema Lagoo and Renuka Shahane all changed in the same room with the staff. Himani said that they all were big stars and treated her equally despite being new. She credited Sooraj – the captain of the ship, to make it happen.
