A source close to Yash Raj films reveals, “It was a decision taken by Aditya Chopra and SRK jointly, and it was a decision based on Yash’s manbun in KGF. Since it worked so well for another superstar, why not SRK?”
Apparently his wife and close associates thought it looked “sexy” on SRK.

The source further reveals, “SRK was not too kicked by the idea of growing his hair. But unlike Salman Khan’s discernibly artificial hair extension in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, SRK was not willing to go with a fake bun. He grew his hair for Pathaan and it worked. He will also sport a similar look in Jawan.”
