While his elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor made her Bollywood debut in 2018 with Dhadak, his younger daughter Khushi Kapoor is set for a grand entry in showbiz this year. The actress will be seen in Zoya Akhtar’s film that also marks the debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda.
Ask Boney Kapoor if he and his late wife Sridevi expected Khushi to make her debut with a project that has everyone so excited and he says, “At the time when Sridevi passed away Khushi was just 16 years old. At that time she and I did not expect anything from Khushi. Although, Khushi might have had these desires and an ambition to become an actress from back then, but humne nahi socha tha ki yeh actor banegi. As parents we were just busy making sure she studies well and finishes her schooling.”
Meanwhile, in an earlier chat with BT, Boney had also opened up about Janhvi, who has also acted in his production venture Mili. He had said, “She is one of those actors for whom you don’t have to choose a particular kind of role. You pick a good script and she will fit into it, which is very rare. The good thing about her is that she doesn’t play the part, but she becomes the part, which was the hallmark of her mother, which is the hallmark of all the good actors… be it Arjun (Kapoor) or Anil (Kapoor).”
