The teaser of ‘Bloody Daddy’ presented Shahid Kapoor in a fierce avatar, a far cry from the loving chocolate boy roles he has played in the past. Apart from this high octane thriller Shahid has also done intense films like ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘Udta Punjab’.
When asked about choosing dark films, Shahid had joked, “I have been married for eight years. I cannot take out frustration at home, so I go on the sets and take it out. Farzi was a warm-up and now this (Bloody Daddy).”
While speaking about his edgy roles, Shahid had previously told PTI, “It’s always, for me as an actor, much more challenging to pick up a character like that… As an actor, through the emotionality and his journey, I have to be able to make the audience like him. So, that’s always more complex, challenging and exciting. And when you pull it off, it gives you a deep sense of satisfaction.”
Apart from ‘Bloody Daddy’, Shahid has also collaborated with Malayalam actor-director Rosshan Andrrews. This action thriller narrates the story of a rebellious police officer investigating a high-profile case. This project will go on floors this year and the makers are planning to release it in 2024.
