The young actor, who is currently promoting his upcoming film, opened up about his family legacy and expectations from the audience. He told News 18 in an interview that he has a huge shadow of his father and he has make his way through.According to him, everyone expects him to do an action film just because his father is known for his action films so he is just curious to see how the audience will react to his debut film.
Talking about being compared to his superstar father, Rajveer added that the audience has seen his father succeeding as an action hero and he does it so well. He believes that fans want a new version of his father for the next generation. However, for him to be the next action hero is asking for too much and it’s not natural for him. According to him, this is a different time and they both have their own identities. The actor added that the best thing to do is to ignore these comparisons and do what he wants to do and what he thinks is good for him.
Rajveer also went on to admit that he is happy about not being launched by his own family. He said that after ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Pass’ was released, he saw his brother Karan Deol going through his all-time low. So his biggest challenge is having a fear of not earning it on his own and making it on his own. So when ‘Dono’ happened, he is glad that they asked him to audition as he doesn’t want to feel that he is not worth it.
The film will mark the directorial debut of ace filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya‘s son Avnish S Barjatya. The film will hit the theatres on October 5, 2023.
