Shah Rukh Khan‘s much awaited ‘Jawan‘ released on Thursday, September 7 and recording some earth-shattering opening day numbers – both worldwide and at the domestic box office. But that’s not all. The film continues to have sky-rocketed numbers and the creates history on Saturday. On its third day, ‘Jawan’ saw a huge jump of 45 percent which is phenomenal.
As per trade website boxofficeindia.com, ‘Jawan’ has made a humungous number of Rs 67 crore nett and with that, it records history! This is the biggest Saturday number of all times, ever! The trade expected the highest numbers on Sunday but it has come as a surprise on Saturday itself. It has even crossed the numbers of ‘Pathaan‘ now and will set a new record. The three-day collection of ‘Pathaan’ was Rs 160 crore but now with the insane Rs 67 crore collection of Saturday, ‘Jawan’ will have a total collection of around 178 crore nett in three days.
On Sunday, the film would have gone up even higher but now the numbers are dicey due to the India Vs Pakistan match. The huge growth in the business on Saturday could also be because the audiences want to stay at home on Sunday for the match. However, one still expects cinema lovers to go to the theatres on Sunday and hope for a high number remains!
A number of 100 crore in three days was usually considered a big achievement, however, in three days, ‘Jawan’ has crosswd Rs 175 crore and set a new benchmark. As far as the worldwide box office is concerned, it has already crossed the Rs 200 mark! Now the Sunday numbers are highly anticipated and it would be interesting to see how the movie pans out in the coming week starting from Monday.
‘Jawan’ directed by Atlee, also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. Fans are loving Deepika Padukone’s cameo in the movie alongside SRK.
