Sara Ali Khan is no stranger to trolls. She often gets criticised for frequently visiting temples. Lately, she has visited several prominent temples to seek blessings before and after the success of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. In a new interview, Sara said that though she appreciates criticism or feedback when it comes to work, she doesn’t care if people have opinion about anything personal.

Talking about criticism, Sara told Vogue India that she definitely appreciates any kind of criticism about her work because she works for the audience and if they don’t like her work, it is her duty to see how she can do better.
“But if they have an opinion on anything personal, whether it’s my religious beliefs, my sense of dressing or my non-blow-dried hair at the airport, I don’t care,” she added.

She said that she had learned that her sense of validation should not come from anything external including the way she looks. She said that she grew up with qualities that were very inherent. They’re rooted in such a secure place inside her that she doesn’t get fazed by other people’s opinions.
She added that at the core she is still the same girl that went to Columbia to study Russian history. She feels that having a strong sense of self and not defining herself by what people think of her is the only way to keep going.
Sara was recently making a special appearance in Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Next in the pipeline for her are period drama Ae Watan Mere Watan, Anurag Basu’s film anthology Metro… In Dino, and Murder Mubarak by Homi Adajania.
