Nora Fatehi, on Monday, recorded her statement before the Patiala House Court in the defamation case filed by her against Jacqueline Fernandez and various media organisations.

In her statement, Nora stated that she was called a ‘gold digger’ and had been accused of having a relationship with conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. She feels that she has been used as a scapegoat in this case to safeguard certain people because she is an outsider.

Calling herself a soft target, Nora said that she wants compensation for all the damages caused to my career including a loss of financial gain and reputation. She mentioned that she has filed this defamation case because she has nothing to do with the ongoing ED case against Sukesh involving a sum of Rs 200 crore and neither knows anything about it.

“Jacqueline has stated in the media why the ED has listed me as a witness in the case and herself as an accused. This statement has led to prolonged and unnecessary harassment, loss of work and cyberbullying,” Nora said in her statement, as quoted by NDTV.
In the lawsuit, Nora has accused Jacqueline of making ‘false statements with malicious intention’.
In September 2022, Nora questioned by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police for more than four hours along with Pinky Irani, who apparently introduced Nora and Jacqueline Fernandez to the jailed conman.
