Some of the big-ticket films haven’t performed well at the Box Office. Exhibitor Akshaye Rathi says that every film is important for every major actor on whose shoulders these films are mounted. Rathi adds, “After his last three films 83, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and Cirkus not working, Ranveer Singh needs someone like Karan Johar backing him and making big success with him. We hope that it’s a movie that brings Ranveer Singh back in the race in terms of commercial angles and for Karan Johar too because he has directed after a long time. Barring them, it’s also an important film for the industry. We haven’t had as many successes as we had hoped for. I truly hope that Mr. Johar can deliver what it takes.”
Girish Wankhede feels that Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is just the right film for Ranveer Singh to bounce back. It has hit written all over it as it clubs the larger-than-life characterization and emotional highs with extravagant dance and drama sequences. It should prove to be another blockbuster for him because if Karan Johar can’t do it this better, nobody else could do it.”
Exhibitor-distributor Raj Bansal feels that this film is very crucial for Ranveer Singh, “This film should settle his stardom, and if it doesn’t it is going to be difficult for him.” And Atul Mohan adds, “This project holds significant importance for both Karan Johar and the talented actor Ranveer Singh, particularly considering the challenging times the film industry has faced since the lockdown.
