Previously, a user had tagged Ameesha and Sunny Deol, questioning the casting of Simrat Kaur in ‘Gadar 2’.The tweet read, “Dear @ameesha_patel mam, We fans of @iamsunnydeol sir & you are very worried seeing all these cheap and sleazy videos and images of the girl @simratkaur_16 who is opposite @iutkarsharma in #Gadar2. How can @Anilsharma_dir cast her in a clean film like #Gadar2 when she has done such cheap work?” Ameesha had replied to the user stating, “Hey my lovely fans!! Pls stop speculating!! Humbly request you to watch Gadar 2 in the theatres on August 11 and give it all ur love !!” A few netizens had questioned Ameesha’s post, calling her out for replying to tweets that slander the movie.
‘Gadar 2’ is directed by Anil Sharma and stars his son Utkarsh Sharma as one of the male leads. In the original 2012 release, Utkarsh essayed the role of Tara Singh and Sakina’s son Charanjeet Jeete Singh. Simrat, who has featured in several Telugu movies, is cast opposite Utkarsh in the film. ‘Gadar 2’ will hit the screens on August 11.
