Recalling his decision to step away from the industry, Jugal said in a recent chat that director Manmohan Desai was ready to launch his film career, however, the film didn’t go on floors for over a year.
This bad spell of films being shelved, continued for Hansraj, who then added that there were a lot of films, including one with Pahlaj Nihalani, that did not take off even after he committed to the projects.
As his acting projects did not take off, Jugal then turned to writing and direction. However, he struggled to launch his directorial ventures even after winning a National Award for his 2008 animated film Roadside Romeo.
“I was a bit frustrated and disappointed,” he admitted.
After spending years with a production studio, handling their creative content, Jugal will be back in front of the cameras in ‘NRI Wives‘.
