After the success of ‘Shiddat’ on OTT, the makers had recently announced a sequel to the same. Sunny Kaushal was to reprise his role of Jaggi and Parineeti had signed up to play the leading lady.
But if recent buzz is to be believed then Parineeti has quit the project. According to a news portal, ‘Shiddat 2’ was to go on floors in August but has been delayed to October-November due to technical issues.Owing to this change in schedule, Parineeti seems to have disassociated from the movie. The actress reportedly has two yet-untitled movies in the pipeline and is also busy prepping for her wedding withRaghav Chadha in October this year. Considering the date clash, Parineeti Chopra and producer Dinesh Vinan have mutually decided to part ways. The makers have reportedly approached Wamiqa Gabbi to step into Parineeti’s role.
Sunny Kaushal and Radhika Madan played the leads in ‘Shiddat’, which released in 2021. This romantic drama was helmed by Kunal Deshmukh, while the sequel will be directed by Karan Sharma.
