It seems there is no end to criticism for the makers of Adipurush, and the latest to slam the magnum opus is Girija Shankar, who played Dhritrastra in B R Chopra’s Mahabharat.
In an interview with a leading daily, the veteran actor spoke about how there was no need for the makers to use tapori language for the characters in the film. He mentioned that at the end of day, you are portraying Ramayan and it has been playing for years and for ages.
He added that the makers could have done way better with the dialogues, and found another way of making the movie reach the younger generation with decent language and vocabulary.
Adipurush has been in the eye of storm since the day of its release over its language and misrepresentation of the characters. The anger against the makers has been so widespread that a certain section of the audience have issued death threats to director Om Raut and writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla, following which Mumbai Police has for now provided protection to both of them. In the midst of all these controversies, the movie has grossed more than 400 crores at the global box office.
