Samantha Ruth Prabhu to commence shooting for Hollywood film ‘Chennai Story’ after wrapping up ‘Citadel’ with Varun Dhawan | Hindi Movie News

Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been in super-spy mode, filming her web series ‘Citadel‘ with Varun Dhawan in Serbia. The actress, who has her calendar full of exciting projects, will soon move on to shoot her next film which will be the Hollywood film titled ‘Chennai Story‘.
According to the latest reports, Samantha will commence shooting for her first English feature film with Vivek Kalra, after she wraps up work on the web series. The Hollywood film, based on the novel ‘The Arrangements of Love’ by Timeri N Murari, is being directed by BAFTA winner Philip John (Downton Abbey).

The movie will reportedly tell the tale of a South Asian Welshman played by Vivek Kalra, who travels to Chennai to find his estranged father. He seeks help from a detective played by Samantha. The rom-com will reportedly celebrate and unite Eastern and Western cultures as it chronicles the characters’ cultural differences in a bid to prove that opposites do attract.

The movie which will be shot in Chennai and the UK, is expected to release in English and Tamil.
Samantha will also be seen in the Indian film Kushi, starring opposite Vijay Deverakonda. The film is slated to release on September 1.
