Manoj Bajpayee met his wife and actress Shabana Raza in the 90s and they tied the knot in 2006. They have a daughter Ava Nayla. Recently, when Manoj was asked about the secret to a happy married life, The Family Man actor said that one needs to put their partner’s needs before their own in order to sustain a relationship.
In a chat show, Manoj insisted that there is no secret since every day is a new day and every day one has to try to correct and improve themselves when it comes to understanding the other person. He added that love alone cannot sustain a marriage.

Talking about how he manages to have less quarrels and fires, Manoj said that one needs to shed everything about themselves including one’s ego and insecurity. He said that when one person keeps putting themselves first, this is where things start to go wrong. If one thinks that the other person should not ignore certain things, then they have to talk it out in a calmer way, which helps in solving the problem.
Manoj then added that practicing meditation has helped him in his marriage while balancing very bad and blissful days. He believes that it has made him a better husband, better father, better son and a better friend.
