Mahendra Singh Dhoni made his fans proud once again after he bagged the IPL trophy for the fifth time on May 30. While we all know he is a brilliant cricketer, not many know that he had once tried his hands in acting.
Yes, you read that right! Back in the 2010s, Dhoni was approached to act in a film. The cricketing legend agreed to star in a film titled, ‘Hook Ya Crook‘. The film was directed by none other than David Dhawan and it featured John Abraham in the lead role alongside Kay Kay Menon and Genelia D’Souza.

‘Hook Ya Crook’ is a film based on cricket. The film follows the story of a boy who dreams of playing for the Indian cricket team. However, his dream is crushed when he gets imprisoned due to his unruly behaviour.
While the film is still unreleased, Dhoni’s name is still listed as one of the actors in the film.
Late Sushant Singh Rajput, who played Dhoni in his biopic titled ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, had complimented the cricketer and called him a good actor during the promotions of the movie.
