The Special Investigation Team (SIT), which probed the Aryan Khan drug case, has reacted sharply to Sameer Wankhede communicating with Shah Rukh while Aryan was in custody.
A senior officer, on condition of anonymity, spoke to a news portal and said that they were not aware of the chats Wankhede had with SRK and he never informed the department. According to him, indulging in such conversations with the family of the accused is a serious violation of the rules. It was also reported in the article that an enquiry will be sought against Wankhede for this act.

The SIT also went on to say that the charges against Aryan Khan were unjustified as no drugs were found in his possession. Further, SOPs were not followed and no blood test was done of Aryan.
On May 22, Bombay High Court pulled up the former NCB chief for allegedly leaking the conversation between the Bollywood superstar and him to the media despite the matter being sub judice. In chats, SRK can be seen discussing the ongoing probe with Wankhede and requesting him to go easy on his son.
Continuing the exemption from arrests, the High Court reportedly directed the CBI to file its response on June 3. Wankhede’s team, on the other hand, will have till June 7 to respond. The next hearing is on June 8.
