Aamir Khan who stayed in Freeda One building at Carter Road from 2013, moved back to his Pali Hill abode, Marina Apartments, in 2019. His old flat at Marina Apartments was refurbished but yes, if reports are to be believed, Aamir wanted to make a bungalow there but all the residents were not ready to leave the building at any price.
Now, the latest is that Marina Apartments and the adjacent building in the same compound, Belle Vue- are going for redevelopment. At least four builders are bidding for it. So, Marina and Belle Vue will be brought down and a big tower is expected to come in its place. As things stand today, and if all goes well, the work may begin from early next year.

It is being said that it will take about 3 to 3.5 years at least to get the tower readied.
This implies that Aamir will have to look for new houses soon. He will come back to Marina, which may have a new name then, but he needs ample space in the interim period when the tower is being made. For all you know, the ‘Lagaan‘ star’s search exercise may have already begun.
Aamir Khan and his family own several flats in Marina and Belle Vue. Marina Apartments holds a special place in Aamir’s heart.
