The makers were going to launch the trailer in three cities. After a grand launch in Mumbai, Kartik and Kriti were in Jalandhar, Punjab on January 13, to celebrate Lohri and launch the trailer. On January 14, they will be in Kutch for the kite flying festival.
As soon as Kartik and Kriti reached Punjab, they got a warm welcome with lots of dhol, bhagra and dance. The actors were seen wearing a red dupatta on the occasion of Lohri and were greeted with flowers. People from Punjab made them dance to their tunes and the duo can be seen trying their hand at ‘bhangra’.
Kartik has turned producer with ‘Shehzada’. Kriti had spoken about her chemistry with Kartik at the trailer launch event. She had said, “It was lovely working with him. He is a friend and I am comfortable working with him. It was as entertaining an experience as the film was. Rohit [Dhawan] has worked extremely hard on this.”
The duo have also recently shot for a song for the film and wrapped it up. Kartik had shared that he had sore feet and his calves were aching after the song shoot, which was choreographed by Ganesh Acharya. Kriti had dropped some pictures as the film wrapped up and wrote, “And its finally a wrap!! 💖 #Shehzada Happy sad feeling as always.. Sad that this beautiful journey has come to an end…And happy that we can share it with you all very soon! 🥳 Stay Tuned ❤️”
The film directed by Rohit Dhawan and is set to release on February 10.
