Abhishek Bachchan and Shoojit Sircar in talks for a film, set to go on floors this year: Report | Hindi Movie News

Shoojit Sircar and Amitabh Bachchan have a long association with each other. The actor-director duo have collaborated for films like ‘Shoebite’, ‘Piku’ and ‘Gulabo Sitabo’. Shoojit was also a writer on ‘Pink’. But he’s never collaborated with Abhishek Bachchan and hence, now this news of AB junior collaborating with the filmmaker is quite exciting.
Shoojit and Abhishek will reportedly collaborate for a project for which they are in advance discussions for. As per this report in Pinkvilla, the duo feel it would be an appropriate subject to collaborate on and the film is likely to go on floors in the second half of this year. Ronnie Lahiri will produce the project.

Interestingly, Shoojit and Abhishek know each other for a while as they’ve been playing football together. Ranbir Kapoor, Dino Morea, Kartik Aaryan and many others play football together and share a great bonding with each other.
Abhishek was seen in ‘Dasvi’ and the second season of ‘Breathe Into The Shadows’ in 2022. The actor will be seen next in R Balki’s ‘Ghoomer’ where he plays a cricket coach. Saiyami Kher also stars in the film and she plays a cricketer. The film also stars Shabana Azmi and Angad Bedi. Amitabh Bachchan is also set to have a special appearance in ‘Ghoomer’.

Reportedly, Abhishek also has a special appearance in Ajay Devgn’s next directorial, ‘Bholaa’ which is the Hindi remake of ‘Kaithi’. Meanwhile, Shoojit’s last directorial was Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Sardar Udham’.
