‘Mission Majnu’ trailer: Sidharth Malhotra displays patriotism, plays India’s under-cover cop

A while ago, the makers of ‘Mission Majnu’ had released the film’s teaser and the audience got versed with the fact that Sidharth Malhotra plays an undercover agent in the film. But what the newly released trailer of the film does – is to give us a deeper insight into the world of ‘Mission Majnu’ and the vibe which the film has to offer.
The trailer begins with the information that Pakistan is making a nuclear bomb and they need someone who can get details into that and neutralises it. We are then introduced to Sidharth who plays an undercover agent, living in Pakistan. Sidharth exhibits himself in Pakistan, sometimes as a tailor and sometimes as a plumber. He’s married to Rashmika Mandanna who he seems to be getting inclined towards but he’s soon reminded that he is working for his country and is on a mission.

Sidharth shared the trailer and wrote, “Jo khud se pehle desh ke baare mein soche, wahi hain #DeshKeLiyeMajnu. Aisa hi ek Majnu hai Amandeep Singh jisne India ke sabse khatarnak mission ke liye apni jaan ki baazi laga di 🫡”

They call this mission, ‘Mission Majnu’ because of the love for his nation. The film promises lots of thrill, action, and patriotism. The song playing in the background, ‘Maati ko maa kehte hai’ is quite impactful already to evoke that feeling. ‘Mission Majnu’ is based on true events from the 1970s and is directed by Shantanu Bagchi. The film will release on OTT on January 20.
