Rohit Shetty confirms that Deepika Padukone is his lady ‘Singham’, film to go on floors next year | Hindi Movie News

The trailer of ‘Cirkus’ was launched last week and what caught everyone’s attention was Deepika Padukone‘s cameo in the film. The actress has done a special song, ‘Current Laga’ with Ranveer Singh. The song has just been unveiled today and has already become a rage. Meanwhile, a major revelation was made at the song launch event.

Everyone was curious to know when will Rohit Shetty and Deepika Padukone collaborate again after the cult ‘Chennai Express’. So, Rohit made a big announcement that, Deepika has joined his cop universe. He said, “Har baar ek hi sawaal pucha jaata hai ke lady singham kab aayegi. Toh ‘Singham Again’ mein lady Singham aayegi. She’s my lady cop from the cop universe. So, hum agle saal hi saath mein kaam kar rahe hai (Everytime I’m asked why don’t I make a film with a female cop so here’s my lady Singham. Deepika is the lady cop of my universe, in ‘Singham Again’ and we’re working together next year itself).”

Deepika was quite emotional about this announcement and she hugged Rohit Shetty after that. Ranveer who was also present at the song launch event kept smiling at this collaboration and said, “You heard it first here!”

‘Cirkus’ which sees Ranveer in a double role is set to release on December 23.
