It is a well known fact that Salman is quite close to Pulkit. In fact, Pulkit’s ex wife Shweta Rohira is Salman Khan’s Rakhi sister.

While on Salman, films like Pathaan, Gadar 2 and Jawan have set new benchmark at the box office worldwide. While the two Shah Rukh Khan starrers have been able to reach Rs 1000 crore mark, Sunny Deol‘s film has crossed Rs 500 crore in the Indian market. Reflecting on the massive success of these Bollywood films, Salman Khan recently said that it is now time to look at new benchmarks like Rs 1000 crore as the coveted Rs 100 crore club has now become a thing of the past.
At the trailer launch of Punjabi actor Gippy Grewal’s upcoming film Maujaan Hi Maujaan, it was mentioned how Punjabi films are doing exceptionally well at the box office. To which, Salman added that the way movies across industries are raking in moolah and setting new benchmarks, the new normal is going to be Rs 500-600 crore.

“I feel this Rs 100 crore mark is going to be the rock bottom now. Everything is going to be Rs 400-500-600 crore plus now for the Punjabi industry, Hindi industry, every industry. Even Marathi films are doing those numbers right now. Basically, people are going to the theatres once again to watch movies. I think Rs 100 crore is not going to be a very big deal. I think the benchmark should be Rs 1000 crore for a film right now,” Salman said at the event.
