The teaser of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal‘ has raised the anticipation level amongst his fans. The actor will be seen in a full-fledged mass role in the Sandeep Vanga Reddy directorial.
The film was supposed to be released on August 11 earlier. It was set to lock horns with Sunny Deol starrer ‘Gadar 2’ and Akshay Kumar starrer ‘OMG 2’ at the box office. However, the makers postponed the release of the film to December this year.Now,Bhushan Kumar has revealed the real reason behind the same.
In an interview with India Today, the producer said that Ranbir’s ‘Animal’ will be released on December 1. He revealed that the movie was pushed ahead because some work was left to be done.He also went on to add that the advance booking for ‘Jawan’ was huge in the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh markets, which is the South market. Sandeep and Rashmika Mandanna are from the South. ‘Animal’ is a pan-Indian film, so they are planning to do it in multiple languages, which is not just limited to dubbing in different languages. According to him, they want to promote it all over, like ‘Jawan’ did.

Further revealing more details, Bhushan added that another reason is that ‘Animal’ is a musical and has eight songs in it. So they have to dub the songs in different languages and it takes time to get it done in other languages including Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. Hence, the makers postponed it and now they are very happy about the decision. He also stated that so many films are now doing well in theatres. People are coming back and that’s a good sign for the box office.

‘Animal’ stars Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in lead roles. The film will be clashing with Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Sam Bahadur‘. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film also stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in lead roles.
