After crossing Rs 1000 crore mark worldwide, Jawan has now minted Rs 1055 crore, thus, breaking Pathaan’s worldwide record of Rs 1050 crore at the global box office. While it collected Rs 705 crore gross in India, it earned Rs 350 crore overseas. This makes Jawan the highest grossing Hindi movie of all time.
Earlier, Gadar 2 edged out Pathaan by earning Rs 524.75 crore in 7 weeks. While Pathaan’s domestic collection stands at Rs 543.09 crore, it earned Rs 524.53 crore from Hindi version whereas Rs 18.56 crore came from Tamil and Telugu versions.However, Gadar 2 couldn’t manage to clutch its numero uno position beyond 24 hours as Jawan has now earned more than Rs 525.5 crore in the Hindi circuit. Jawan’s domestic collection including Tamil and Telugu versions stands at Rs 587 crore. The movie is now inching towards Rs 600 crore mark in India.
SRK has now become the only Hindi superstar to deliver two consecutive Rs 1000 crore films in one year. He is now gearing up for his third release of the year, Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. It will release on December 22 and the movie will clash with Prabhas starrer Salaar at the box office.
