In an interview with BBC recently, the actor, talking about the success of Satyaprem Ki Katha, revealed that he loves to evoke emotions in the audience.

He stated that he is more adept at making people cry, rather than making them laugh. He also added that Satyprem Ki Katha has proven a lot for him as an actor, like he’s done dramatic scenes earlier as well, but they were part of comedy films likeSonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety or Luka Chuppi, so the comedy took over and one doesn’t notice the emotion or drama. However, the Kiara Advani starrrer had a lot of sensitivity and emotional drama.
Apart from Chandu Champion, which is based on the life of Murlikant Petkar, who was India’s first Paralympic gold medalist, Kartik has Aashiqui 3 with Anurag Basu. He also has Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Anees Bazmee lined up.
