Yami Gautam to team up with Aditya Dhar after ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’: Report | Hindi Movie News

Aditya Dhar had directed Yami Gautam in ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’. The film which also stars Vicky Kaushal was one of the biggest hits of 2019. That’s also the film where Yami and Aditya fell in love and eventually got married.

Now a report suggests that Yami is going to team up with Adiya again. An article in Pinkvilla suggests that the film is a political thriller inspired by true events and Aditya will produce it under his banner B62 Studios.

However, he won’t direct it. Goan filmmaker Aditya Suhas Jambhale who has won National awards two times, has been brought on board to direct the film. He had made short films like ‘Aaba Aiktaay Na?’ and ‘Kharvas’. He has also directed a feature film for Dhar’s banner which will release on OTT soon.
The film has a strong role for Yami who finds herself into unusual circumstances. At the moment, the actress is gearing up for the release of ‘OMG 2’ with Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi. Yami got a lot of love for her last release ‘Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga’ with Sunny Kaushal.
Post Uri, Aditya and Yami also teamed up for ‘Dhoom Dhaam’ which is yet to release. It’s a romantic comedy which sees the actress with Prateik Gandhi. The film revolves around this couple who get into an arranged marriage but they’re a complete mismatch for each other. Now this is quite a unique pairing. Prateik is still remembered for his path-breaking role in Hansal Mehta’s ‘Scam 1992’.
