After impressing one and all with their performance and chemistry in ‘Sui Dhaaga‘, Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan are reportedly reuniting once again for a film.
According to reports, the actors have been roped in for Kalee‘s Hindi adaptation of Atlee’s Tamil hit, ‘Theri‘. Varun will be stepping into the shoes of Thalapathy Vijay’s shoes to play a cop on a mission to save his daughter from the baddies.

Reportedly, Janhvi Kapoor was earlier approached to play the role of Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the film. However, she didn’t have the dates requested by the makers, who then turned to Anushka. She liked the narration and immediately gave her nod.

Apart from Varun and Anushka, the makers are planning to rope in Amy Jackson for the second female lead in the film. The Hindi redux, said to be rewritten with additional characters and plot twists, is slated to go on floors this August.
Anushka will be seen in ‘Chakda Xpress’ where she will be seen essaying the role of cricketer Jhulan Goswami. It is slated to release on OTT. Varun, on the other hand, has Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Bawaal’ with Janhvi Kapoor.
