Alia Bhatt gave one of her finest performances in ‘Udta Punjab‘ where she played the role of a migrant girl named Kumari Pinky. However, did you know that she was trained by Pankaj Tripathi for the role?
Yes, you read that right! Alia had revealed that she would meet the actor every day to master her body language, Jharkhand dialect and other things. It’s the only time in her career that Bhatt confesses she went “method” on herself.

The actress also added that she abandoned cell-phones, never stepped out of hotel room, consumed no entertainment, spent time interacting/empathising with local youth, never switched on the TV, and simply marinated in the character, until the shoot ended. Alia said that she did all that because she wanted to prove she was “a chameleon as an actor.”

In 2022, Alia delivered three blockbusters back to back – Gangubai Kathiawadi, Brahmastra and Darlings. All the three movies received positive reviews from the audience and the critics alike.
She is currently awaiting the release of her next, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani‘. The Karan Johar directorial also stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role and is slated to hit the theatres in July this year.
