Suniel Shetty confirms: Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul’s wedding reception will be held post IPL | Hindi Movie News

Actress Athiya Shetty and her cricketer beau KL Rahul officially tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony held on Monday, January 23.
The couple took their pheras in the afternoon, surrounded by their closest friends and family members at dad Suniel Shetty’s Khandala House. After the wedding ceremony, Suniel and his son Ahan stepped out to distribute sweets to the paparazzi. While there, the actor gushed about becoming a new father-in-law and also set the record straight about the upcoming wedding reception.

Revealing details about the ceremony, he said, “It was beautiful, very small, with close family, lekin bahut acha tha. Phere bhi ho chuki and shaadi bhi officially ho chuki hai, to officially father-in-law bhi ban chuka hoon.”

When asked about the much talked about the wedding reception, he said, “Abhi most definitely post-IPL plan karenge.”

This confirmation comes just days after ETimes broke the news that the reception will only be held after the IPL wraps up. A friend revealed, “Given the hectic cricket schedules, a wedding bash has been planned for the film industry and cricket bigwigs after the IPL wraps up in May.”

Meanwhile, fans can expect the newlyweds to make their first appearance for the paps later this evening.

The wedding was a private affair with close friends and family in attendance. Celebrities including Anupam Kher, Diana Penty, Ishaant Sharma, Anshula Kapoor, Krishna Shroff, among others, were spotted arriving at the venue for the wedding party.
