Amid divorce rumours, Sania Mirza warmly hugs husband Shoaib Malik at her surprise retirement party

Sania Mirza announced her retirement from sports recently and her close ones hosted a surprise bash to celebrate the same. She shared a video on Instagram from a surprise party wherein she is greeted with cheers of her family and friends. Present at the bash was Sania’s husband and cricketer Shoaib Malik, welcoming her with a bouquet of flowers. Amid the divorce rumours, the duo was seen hugging at the party where Shoaib told her “Welcome home.”

Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza have been in the news for their separation since some time now, but the couple is yet to officially comment on the same. The duo was reportedly tied up in a contract of hosting an OTT show titled ‘The Mirza Malik Show’. Buzz was that Shoaib and Sania were unable to announce their separation because of their commitments to the show. Reacting to their divorce rumours, Shoaib Malik had previously told a news portal that it is their personal matter and it should be left alone. He had also stated that Sania and he won’t be answering any questions about their separation.

In 2010, Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik tied the knot and welcomed son Izhaan Mirza Malik on October 30, 2018. Soon after their divorce rumours hit headlines, it was reported that Shoaib Malik is in love with Pakistani actress Ayesha Omar. Reacting to the link-up rumours, Ayesha had clarified on social media that Shoaib was happy with his wife and that she respects the couple. Ayesha had also stated that she is a good friend of the cricketer.
