Jehanabad teaser out: The crime thriller from Bihar touted to be a fast paced, edgy series

Bihar seems to the perfect backdrop for crime and cop dramas these days. After
Khakee: The Bihar Chapter won rave reviews and garnered immense love from netizens, another crime drama called Jehanabad is now set to leave a mark on the OTT space. The show, soon to be released on SonyLIV is directed by Rajeev Barnwal and Satyanshu Singh. Ritwik Bhowmik, Harshita Gaur and Parambrata Chattopadhyay will play the lead roles in the web series.

The teaser, released recently opened with two men riding on a bike as they discuss the background of cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. While one asks the other if he is a sardar, the other says that no, he is a Rajput, before adding that why should one be stuck with castes, he is a simple, grassroot level man, who achieved immense success through hard work.

The duo then, in a twisted turn of events cover their faces and infiltrate a gated compound before fleeing away. Mayhem ensues when the bomb goes off, as a chopped head is shown flying on screen.

Sharing the teaser, Sudhir Mishra, who is mentoring the show wrote on Twitter, ”

The show is said to be inspired by true events, set in Bihar in 2005.
