Film’s earns over Rs 10 crore on second Tuesday, inches closer to the 300-crore mark

‘Avatar: The Way Of Water’ maintained its hold over the Indian box office and earned a remarkable collection on its second Tuesday. According to trade reports on boxofficeindia, the film’s earnings remained in the double digits as it collected over Rs 10 crore nett.
The film’s total now stands at an impressive Rs 268 crore nett and if it continues this winning run, it will cross the Rs 300 crore nett mark before the holiday period ends.

The film saw its first major drop in Nizam / Andhra on day twelve but it has already done extraordinary business in the circuit with a total of Rs 55 crore nett in twelve days. The film is expected to earn an estimated Rs 65 crore nett in the circuit, which may just be the highest for a Hollywood release. The numbers also put the film on the circuit’s list of top grossers of 2022, coming in 6th or 7th place. This will be the only Hollywood film in the top 10, among a long list of regional releases.
South India continues to dominate collections for ‘Avatar 2’. While collections have dropped in Nizam/Andhra , Tamil Nadu has taken the lead and has been getting in exceptional business for the movie.

The film which earned Rs 189.50 crore in its first week, has already shot past the Rs 79 crore mark for week two, and could just be the first Hollywood film to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in its second week.
