He also added, that the last two films that topped the global box office that weren’t Marvel or Star Wars films was all the way back in 2014 (not including 2020). ‘The Way of Water’ is the sequel to the first ‘Avatar’, which was released in 2009. The original film went on to become the biggest box office hit in history.
