Agastya Nanda will start his second film only after Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies releases on OTT in November-December | Hindi Movie News

Zoya Akhtar’s 1980s’ take on the Archies comic is all set for a Netflix premiere in winter, November or December 2023.
While the entire eager team of newcomers is looking forward to the beginning of their journey, Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, has more reason to be anxious. He will start shooting for his second film only after ‘The Archies’ is out.
Agastya Nanda is to play war martyr Arun Khetarpal in Ekkis. He needs time to prepare to play the Param Vir Chakra winning war martyr. DirectorSriram Raghavan needs at least three months with Agastya to prepare him for the role.
Says a source close to the Bachchans, “Agastya can start on Ekkis only after The Archies is out. Agastya is very fortunate to have signed two such prestigious antithetical roles right in the beginning of his career. The Archies and Ekkis are as dissimilar in content and mood as Amitji and Jaya ji’s Sholay and Abhimaan. His grandparents are very excited about Agastya’s debut. Agastya’s mother Shweta showed no interest in acting at all. So for the Bachchans, it’s like experiencing a third generation of acting in the Bachchan family without experiencing the second generation.”
