The entire industry went into a shock earlier this year, when ace writer-director Satish Kaushik passed away on March 9 after suffering a massive heart attack. The actor, who is survived by wife Shashi and daughter Vanshika, was much loved in the industry and had many close friends including Anupam Kher.

Anupam, who was heartbroken at his friend’s sudden demise, is going out of his way to take care of his family. Earlier today, Vanshika took to her IG handle to share a reel, where she is having a meal with her ‘Anupam uncle’, a ritual that she used to follow with her dad. Sharing the same, the 11-year-old wrote, “Papa and I came often to Marriott for breakfasts and lunch’s . Wonderful to repeat the routine with my favourite Anupam uncle. And how can we not make a reel together . Bullet for u ❤️with the one and only #Anupam Kher”

Soon after his demise, Anupam Kher had organised a musical night on Kaushik’s first birth anniversary in honour of the late actor. At the event, Kher recalled his last conversation with Satish, hours before his death. Anupam said that Satish had called him and sounded very tired on the phone. Anupam advised him to go and get himself checked at the hospital. However, Satish told him not to worry as he is not going to die. And after three hours he, unfortunately, passed away.
