Vijay Varma reveals no designer wanted to dress him when he came to Cannes in 2013, says he bought only one jacket to the event | Hindi Movie News

Vijay Varma is currently at the Cannes Film Festival and has been sharing picturesque selfies from the French Riviera. The actor, presently basking in the success of his web show Dahaad, has been to Cannes earlier too, in 2013, when he accompanied the team of his film, Monsoon Shootout. However, the actor admits that he really had no clue what he had to wear at the main event.

Vijay, in an interaction with a leading website, said that back then, just before leaving for the event, he bought one jacket from a known brand, because that was the only thing he could afford. However, when he reached the venue, he was told that for the two main events, he will have to wear a formal suit.
Moving on, the actor added that no one was willing to dress him back then, since he wasn’t really a known face. Eventually, someone stitched him a black tuxedo for the red carpet. He also added that he believed he looked like a ‘Marwari Johnny Depp,’ at the event.
Earlier, buzz was that the actor will be making his debut at Cannes. However, the ‘Darlings’ actor wrote, “Not my first time. First time was in 2013 with my film Monsoon Shootout. I’m going after a decade 🕺🏻😎” He also shared a picture which revealed his look a decade ago.

After ‘Darlings’ and ‘Dahaad’, Vijay will be seen next in ‘The Devotion Of Suspect X’ with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat.
