Priyanka Chopra’s much-awaited ‘Citadel’ is already making quite a lot of buzz since it started streaming. On Friday, its fifth episode was aired. The much-talked-about show sees Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden in the lead and the two other installments of ‘Citadel’ are currently in the works in Italy and India. We all know the Indian version will have Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead. Interestingly, the fifth episode of Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Citadel’ had a big surprise in store. The episode sees Varun in a cameo appearance.

In the episode, Priyanka aka Nadia makes a call to Rahi Gambhir, who is later revealed as her father. Now, if you listen to this voice on the phone call, you will instantly realize that the caller is none other than Varun Dhawan. For the unversed, Varun will be seen in the finale episode of ‘Citadel’ and will pave the way for the Indian installment. All three installments in this franchise are inter-connected.
Varun is set to play Priyanka’s onscreen father in the series. He has also voiced the older version of Rahi Gambhir, the role played by Paul Bazely. Interestingly, Varun’s story is set in the past. The Indian installment is being created by Raj and DK.

Earlier, during a media interaction Priyanka was asked whether she would be seen with Varun and Samantha in the Indian installment and the actor just said that maybe or maybe not.
Meanwhile, Citadel’s US version will stream its final episode on May 26. The spy-thriller has already been renewed for a second season and also stars Stanley Tucci in a key role.
