SS Rajamouli says working with Ray Stevenson in ‘RRR’ was ‘pure joy’ as he mourns his demise: ‘Just can’t believe the news’ | Hindi Movie News

SS Rajamouli took to his Twitter handle to share a throwback photo of himself along with Ray Stevenson from the sets of ‘RRR‘ as he mourned the loss of the Irish actor.

In the photo, Rajamouli and Ray are seen having a fun conversation on the set between the shots. Ray is seen dressed as his character in the film. Along with it, the filmmaker also shared a heartfelt post that read, ‘Shocking… Just can’t believe this news. Ray brought in so much energy and vibrancy with him to the sets. It was infectious. Working with him was pure joy. My prayers are with his family. May his soul rest in peace (sic).’

The reports of his untimely demise were reportedly confirmed by his publicist. The actor was 58. The cause of his death is still uncertain.
After playing the baddie in ‘RRR’, Stevenson’s last completed film was ‘Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday‘, co-starring Scott Adkins. He also featured in all 22 episodes of HBO and BBC’s Rome.
He had recently signed up to replace Kevin Spacey in 1242: Gateway to the West, where he would have played the role of a Hungarian priest standing up against the Mongol army.
