The stage 2 of the Archery World Cup 2023 was happening in Shanghai from from May 16 onwards and it concluded today! It’s a proud moment for India to know that 19-year old Prathamesh Samadhan, has won Gold for India. He pulled off a major upset as he defeated world number 1 Mike Schloesser to win Gold at the World Cup stage 2 tournament.
Many celebs have come out in support of Prathamesh. One of the first people to cheer for him was SS Rajamouli. The ‘Baahubali’ and ‘RRR‘ director is known to make larger-than-life movies which largely display Indian roots and culture with so much panache. We’ve seen archery being displayed with swag in his movies and he’s always shown his love and support towards our roots. The director is thrilled that archery is being nurtured in India.

On the other hand, 18-year-old Kaur Avneet Kaur bagged the bronze medal in women’s event.
