Shahid Kapoor to shoot for Anees Bazmee’s action-comedy in UP and Bihar; film set to roll in July | Hindi Movie News
The film will reportedly go on floors in July this year and will be shot in the heartland of India, including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The filmmaker had started developing the action comedy right after the super success of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ with Kartik Aaryan.
When the director met Shahid last year, the actor loved the concept and said yes in principle. Anees dedicated the next six months to developing the comedy. However, contrary to reports, it is not a remake of a south film, but an original script. Shahid is excited about the project, as it not only sees him attempt a light-hearted fare after the intense Jersey and Farzi but will also see him in a double role.
However, there is no word on the leading lady of the film yet. The makers will reportedly zero in on the actress in the next fortnight.
Apart from this, Shahid also has Ali Abbas Zafar‘s ‘Bloody Daddy‘. It is the official adaptation of the 2011 French film Nuit Blanche. Talking about his experience working on ‘Bloody Daddy’, Shahid said in a statement, “I had a great time doing an action film. I really enjoyed working with Ali. He understands the genre very well. The dilemma now is that if you’re doing something of this scale on OTT, what do you do on the big screen? So we have to figure that out. But it’s been a blast.”
Bloody Daddy will have a direct-to-OTT release. It will start streaming on June 9.
