Salman Khan signs multi-crore 5-year deal with OTT platform for exclusive digital rights of his films – Exclusive details | Hindi Movie News

Despite a not-so-decent response to his last film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Salman Khan is still considered to be one of the strongest and formidable superstars in the film business today. Sources close to the actor inform ETimes that Salman has cracked a 5-year deal with Zee5 for exclusive satellite rights of all his films, starting this January. The first film under this deal would be his last release Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan which also starred Pooja Hegde and Venkatesh. Zee was also the distributor of the film.
Zee5 and Salman’s relationship goes way back, they were also the ones who released Salman Khan starrer Radhe digitally and the response was so good that their servers crashed on day 1. Our source also added that Salman has one of the most envious lineup as a superstar. He recently revealed that there is one film under Karan Johar’s production, while Sooraj Barjatya is planning a film with him and Sohail Khan is also ready with his subject.
Tiger 3 won’t be part of this deal, as Yash Raj Films already have a deal on it with another platform, added the source. The amount which would be exchanged for this deal is still under wraps.
Last time around when Salman had cracked a similar deal, he was paid about Rs 400 to 500 crore.
