Prashanth Neel who shot to fame with the KGF films, is taking a longish break from the KGF franchise. Before he begins KGF 3 starring Yash, Prashanth will shoot a film with Jr NTR, which will go on the floors in March 2024. The film is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
Prior to the film with Jr NTR, Prashanth has completed Salaar starring Prabhas and Prithiviraj Sukumaran which releases in September 2023.
So where does all of this leave the third instalment of KGF?
According to a source close to Yash, “Neither Yash nor Prashanth is in a hurry to start the third chapter of KGF. They have mutually agreed to get into the third part only when they have a script on-hand to match the first two parts, if not better them. After Prashanth completes the film with Jr NTR he will do the next KGF film.”
