Last year, with movies like ‘Good Luck Jerry‘ and ‘Mili‘, Janhvi Kapoor found herself breaking the mould to prove her acting prowess. While she’s slowly paved her way into the industry and carved her own individuality ever since her debut in 2018, fans still continue to associate Janhvi with her mother Sridevi.
Janhvi also continues to hold Sridevi close to her heart always and tries to stay connected to her at all times. For instance, recently, when Janhvi was clicked by the paparazzi in the city, one spotted that her phone wallpaper was her childhood picture with her mother. She continues to seek her blessings and live by her mother’s teachings at all times.

Recently, on Sridevi’s death anniversary, Janhvi dropped a picture with her with a heartfelt note. She wrote, “I still look for you everywhere mumma, still do everything I do hoping I’m making you proud. Everywhere I go, and everything I do- it starts and ends with you. ❤️”

Sridevi has passed away in Dubai on February 24, 2018. She was found dead due to accidental drowning in her room in Dubai. Unfortunately, the actress passed away right before Janhvi made her film debut and she couldn’t see her on the big screen.
Janhvi had recently also spoken about what she felt when she lost her mother. “When I lost mom, of course there was this huge tragedy, there was a hole in my heart. But there was this horrible feeling of ‘something bad has happened’ to justify all the great things in my life and all the privilege and the things that I got easily which I heard my entire life. I thought ‘Ok now something bad has happened. I deserve this. I deserve this horrible thing that has happened to me. It was a weird sense of relief.’”
On work front, Janhvi has just wrapped up ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ with Rajkummar Rao.
