Actor Anushka Sharma turns 35 today. The actor, who started her career as a model eventually making her debut with Aditya Chopra’s romantic drama Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008), opposite Shah Rukh Khan, has come a long way, becoming one of the most formidable stars of the big screen.

On the occasion of her birthday today, an old video of the actor is going viral, where she is on the sets of PK, reminiscing about her struggle days. She then talks to the camera and says that not many know that she had auditioned for 3 Idiots, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, who also helmed PK. When she first revealed that in the video, the filmmaker could not believe it and said, “Anushka auditioned for 3 Idiots? No, she didn’t.”

Anushka then went on to show the actual tape to both Hirani and Aamir Khan, who too incidentally starred in both 3 Idiots and PK. The video shows a 19-year-old Anushka reprising actor Gracy Singh’s monologue from Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. in which her character is seen having an emotional meltdown. While seeing the video, both Aamir and Hirani quickly became impressed with her act, with Aamir even joking that even after such a fab audition, the director rejected her.

The three of them are seen sharing a laugh at the end of the video, with Aamir insisting that their reactions be recorded.

Apart from acting, Anushka is also an entrepreneur and producer.
