‘Andaz Apna Apna’ producer’s daughter clarifies Rajkumar Santoshi’s claims on Salman Khan and Aamir Khan- Exclusive | Hindi Movie News

Rajkumar Santoshi has grabbed headlines during the second half of this day by saying that Salman Khan and Aamir Khan did not promote his directorial ‘Andaz Apna Apna‘ (1994) and hence the film did not do well at the box office.
A source tells ETimes, “Santoshi has been talking nothing much except ‘Andaz Apna Apna’. This clearly means that this film contributed a lot in his career. No doubt he directed superb films like ‘Damini’, Ghayal’ and more after ‘AAA‘- but ‘AAA’ is a red-letter film in his filmography. Wonder why he’s saying that Salman and Aamir did not promote the film.”
“Aamir and Salman promoted the film as much as they ought to have. There were no ‘n’ number of channels and websites in those days like we have now. There was no social media. They gave a fair number of interviews and went about it in a very graceful manner. Is Santoshi living in present times? It’s fair to live in present times but he shouldn’t forget the good, old times.”

When contacted, Priti Sinha daughter of Andaz Apna Apna producer Vinay Sinha said, “Salman Khan and Aamir Khan not just promoted my father’s film ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ but also helped to complete it. The film took nearly 4 years to complete and there were date issues but both of them treated the scenario very gracefully and made adjustments in their respective diaries and helped to complete the film.”
