The 76th Cannes Film Festival has kickstarted with the premiere of the Louis XV period drama Jeanne du Barry, with Johnny Depp. Bollywood celebrities like Sara Ali Khan and Esha Gupta have already made their debut at the red carpet on day 1. And now Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Mrunal Thakur and Anurag Kashyap have left for Cannes in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Mrunal, on the other hand, will be making her debut on the red carpet. She will be representing Grey Goose at the event. Anurag’s noir thriller Kennedy starring Rahul Bhat will have its world premiere as part of the Midnight Screenings section.
This year’s festival is set to be served over the next 12 days.
