Salman Khan death threat: Mumbai police take 16-year-old from Thane into custody, who threatened to kill the actor on April 30 | Hindi Movie News

A day after the Mumbai Police control room received a call threatening to kill Bollywood actor Salman Khan, the cops have nabbed the caller. The caller identified himself as Roki Bhai from Rajasthan’s Jodhpur.

And according to the latest development, the cops have detained a 16-year-old boy from Thane district. The teenager is a resident of Rajasthan and was nabbed by the cops on Tuesday. According to PTI, the cops caught the caller after receiving technical help, through which they tracked the call to a number based in Shahapur in Thane district.

Giving an update about the same, Mumbai police stated, “The caller who called the Mumbai Police Control in the context of threatening actor Salman Khan was taken into custody. The caller who made the threat call is a minor. There is no seriousness in this call. Further investigation is underway.”

Following these death threats, security has been heightened for Salman Khan. ETimes had exclusively revealed how additional checks were in place at the Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan trailer launch event on Monday. Moreover, Salman Khan has also imported a bullet proof car worth crores and customized it with additional security features. Last month, Salman Khan received a threatening email from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s aide Goldy Brar. The same was sent to Salman’s personal assistant Jordy Patel just days after the gangster claimed that the goal of his life was to “kill Salman Khan” in an interview.
