As things stand today, it is still a 3-horse fight between Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh. A final call is soon going to be taken depending on the date availability of the three ladies.

So yeah, Hrithik Roshan has allotted the dates. December 2023 it will be, when he starts shooting for the film. That will be the first schedule of the film.
‘War 2’ is not being directed by Sidharth Anand (who directed the interesting suspenseful first part with Hrithik, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor) whose plans have apparently changed after the Shah Rukh Khan-led blockbuster ‘Pathan’. We know now that Ayan Mukerji will wield the megaphone for ‘War 2’.
Buzz has also been that Junior NTR may be a part of the film. Let’s wait and watch.
As for the female lead, an official announcement may soon be in the offing.
