During an interacting session with his fans on twitter, Shah Rukh was recently asked about his experience of working with Raju Hirani. Replying to the same, SRK wrote, ‘Raju Sir is a dream come true to work with. Learnt so much from him and his film making. I am truly fortunate and he is too much fun (sic).’

The film will also star Taapsee Pannu in the lead role, opposite SRK. Spilling some beans on her role in the film, the actress told India Today that she is extremely excited to romance the King Khan in the film. She also called Rajkumar Hirani’s world ‘endearing’.
Further, the actress also revealed that even if she had a passing role in ‘Dunki’, she would have done that as well, since who would let go of an opportunity to romance Shah Rukh Khan, that too in a Rajkumar Hirani movie.
The film went on floors in April 2022, with the next schedule being shot extensively in Punjab. It has been written by Rajkumar Hirani, Abhijaat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon, and produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan.
